Regional Produce Industry Sales Manager

Summary

The ideal candidate will manage sales activities of the Company by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, and advise dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques
  • Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist dealers in promoting sales
  • Review market analyzes to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company
  • Direct product simplification and standardized to eliminate unprofitable items form sales line
  • Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales related units
  • Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Assist other departments within organization as needed to coordinate activities
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales
  • Purchase product as needed to supply customers
  • Monitor the handling of the inventory and ensure proper storage
  • Maintain material inventory levels

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Three to five years working in a sales/agricultural environment
  • Must have the ability to operate a computer using standard office software
  • Must be able to travel as need dictates
